Swagbucks Join to Receive Free Gift Cards and Other Prizes
What Is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is an Internet search engine.
You can use it much the same way you use Google or Yahoo. However, as you are searching, you are sometimes rewarded with Swagbucks. These Swagbucks can be redeemed for gift cards or other prizes.
I have won anywhere from 7 to 79 Swagbucks at a time, and because I frequently need to search the Internet as a freelance writer and blogger, I usually win Swagbucks several times a day. All of the Swagbucks I win accrue until I decide to redeem them for a prize.I started using SwagBucks since late September of 2009 and I have earned several Amazon Gift Cards and PayPal cash. Believe it or not, these gift cards were used to get me a free iPod Touch (4th generation), an X-mini Speaker, an Xbox and several other items that were shipped to me from Amazon and Ebay.
What I like is that I am getting rewards for doing something I would do during my day anyway—search the Internet.
How to Sign Up With Swagbucks
Signing up for Swagbucks is easy.
Simple go to the Swagbuck’s page and either sign in with Facebook or fill out a simple form with your e-mail address and a password for your Swagbucks account.
Registration is free.
How to Earn Swagbucks
There are many ways to earn Swagbucks, some easier than others. The most obvious way is to search the Internet, but there are several other methods you can use.
Watch television programming.
If you have cut cable like we have, Swagbucks provides snippets of your favorite shows. (I like to watch Food Network programming.) Watch what equates to 30 minutes of programming and earn 5 Swagbucks. Granted, that is not a lot of points, but if you were going to watch television anyway, at least you earn points for it.

Save money and get rewarded for it. Does it get much better than that?
Simply print the coupon you want to use from Swagbucks and then earn 10 points when you redeem it at the grocery store.
Take a poll.
Spend less than 10 seconds answering a quick, one question survey and you can earn a Swagbuck.
Trade in games, consoles and books.
If you are looking to declutter your home, look to see if Swagbucks is accepting any of the old books you have. If they are, you can earn a handful of points, and Swagbucks pays for the shipping.
There are many more ways to earn Swagbucks, some more labor intensive than others. I usually just take the polls and searching the Internet, but I still earned enough to redeem for a $100 PayPal deposit and Amazon gift cards.
What Can You Win on Swagbucks?
My favorite way to redeem is for an Amazon gift card, but there are hundreds of other ways to also redeem your points.
You can choose from:
There are gift cards available from many retailers, from clothing to restaurants to everything in between–Amazon, Target, Lands End, Chili’s, Starbucks, and many more.
Like to have magazines delivered to your home but don’t like to pay for them? Get a subscription to Inc. for 700 Swagbucks or to Forbes for 1,999 Swagbucks. There are 26 magazines to choose from.
Go big and get earrings for 9,000 points, or choose the more affordable ones at 500 Swagbucks.
You have hundreds of prizes to choose from, and if you want to make your Swagbucks go even further, make sure to check out their clearance area. The clearance items change frequently, so check back often.
Swagbucks seems like it is too good to be true, but I have used it for two years now and love it. Overall, it is a good search engine, and I enjoy winning Swagbucks for something I would do anyway.
